World Cup 2018 Schedule (with IST)

Football is back with the greatest event of the game. It makes me nostalgic to think that four years ago, during the previous World Cup, I fell in love with this game. And now the high is back! World Cup 2018 is hosted by Russia with Opening Ceremony being held at Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow at 6:30pm IST today. The event will be live telecasted by Sony Network (Sony Liv, Sony Ten 1, Sony Ten 2, Sony Ten 3 and Sony ESPN).

The Opening ceremony is to see celebrities like Robbie William, Aida Garifullina, Placido Domnigo, Luciano Pavarotti will perform along with Russian stars like Anna Netrabko, Denis Matsuev, Aldar Abdrazakov to name a few.

They will be supported by 500 dancers, gymnasts and performers. Not to mention, the official World Cup song, sung by Will Smith, Nicky Jam and Era Isterfi called 'Live It Up' will be performed before the first match.

The first match will be played by the home team Russia against Saudi Arabia of Group A at 8:30pm IST. The 32 qualified teams are divided into 8 groups with 4 teams per group.
